In Portland

We took a side trip up to Portland to visit my sister, Tammy and did all sorts of things:

Chasing ducks - actually we were trying to get a picture of me with the girls and Madeline wasn't cooperating.


We were pretty lucky to get this shot - Madeline refused to cooperate at all after that.


On the train in downtown Portland.


There was a sandcastle building competition for charity in Pioneer Square - so we went down and observed. There was a children's area so Madeline played around for a bit. You know she's concentrating hard when she's got her tongue sticking out.

We also spent an afternoon at the Oregon Zoo.

Madeline contaminating the bird habitat with her backwash.

She was telling Uncle Mike and anyone who would listen that the bears had sad faces.


And we went to the coast....which is not usually very warm.

But that didn't stop Madeline...


...from getting soaking wet....


...it's like the cold didn't even register.




This girl just loves the beach!
